Government Contracts Manager (Remote Anywhere US)
Overview:
The Government Contracts Manager is an individual contributor role that sits within Zebra’s North America Sales Organization and is responsible for the successful delivery of goods and services to federal, state and/or local government agencies. While working alongside our team, this role would be responsible for managing a variety of contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company procedures, applicable laws and government requirements.
This role will be compensated with a salary plus variable commission pay structure.
This remote role can be based anywhere in the US. ~ 25% travel is to be expected.
Responsibilities:
The Government Contracts Manager is responsible for preparing proposals; writing contract terms and conditions; preparing and disseminating information regarding contract status; reviewing contractual obligations; identifying risks and problems, and proposing solutions; and reporting to project teams, accounting staff and management. They also act as liaisons among companies and government agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 + years of direct experience managing government contracts
- Must reside in the US with the ability to travel ~ 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skilled at negotiating contract terms and conditions
- Experience with the handling of solicitations and requests for proposals.
- Experience from a Zebra competitor or network operator a strong differentiator
- Complete understanding and application of contract principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Strong knowledge of the Federal government highly desired
